Si creías que los Host clubs japoneses, era el típico restauran con la diferencia de que era servido por hombres/mujeres atractivos, no podías estar mas equivocado.

If you though Host clubs in Japan, where the tipical restaurant only served by a cute/handsome girl/huy, you couldn´t be more wrong.

Así que..... Que es un host club? / So.... what´s a host club?

 Básicamente es un lugar donde pagas para que un chico / chica de bonita cara y peinado perfecto te atiendan y te hagan sentir querido.
Estos lugares son parte de la vida nocturna de Japón, tales como clubs, casas de té, bares etc.. Por lo que son incluidos como parte del  "Mizu Shobai" (trueque de agua).
Hoy en día estos lugares son sumamente populares, sus principales clientes son chicas / chicos solitarias (y con mucho dinero).
Los hosts suelen obtener clientes al acercarse en las calles.

Basically, is a place where you pay a guy/girl with pretty face and perfect hair to serve you and make you feel loved.
This places ar part of Japan´s night life, such as clubs, tea houses, bars, pubs etc.. So they are included as part of the "Mizu Shobai" (water trade).
Now days, this places are extremely popular, and their most common clients are lonely girls / boys (and with a lot of money in their pockets).

Variaciones en los host clubs... / Host club variations...

Host club: Los chicos sirven, atienden y coquetean con las chicas. Los hosts suelen coquetear mas que las
                hostess, y cuentan con diversidad de opciones para entretener, desde carisma hasta trucos de
                magia. Incluso algunos clubs cuentan con un escenario para actuaciones de los hosts.
                Boys serve and flirt with girls. Host tend to flirt more than hostess, the got a lot of option on how 
                to entertain, they can be charismatic or even show you some magic tricks. Some clubs, have a 
                stage where their hosts perform.
Hostess club y Kyabakura : Es la versión para los chicos, son atendidas por chicas, que te sirven y
                                          coquetean, se dice que es la versión moderna de una Geisha, los Hostess club
                                          los puedes diferenciar de una strip club ya que en el primero no hay danzas o
                                          desnudez. Aunque la Hostess debe de beber con el cliente, a ella solo se le
                                          sirven jugos o bebidas no alcoholicas, esto ayuda a no crear un gasto inesesario                                           y asi las hostess estan sobrias durante todo su horario de trabajo.
                                          This ones are for the boys, served by girls, than flirt, they say this is the modern 
                                          version of a Geisha. Hostess clubs differ from strip clubs in that there are no 
                                          dances or nudity.
Debido a que se les paga por comisión, los host / hostess suele ser muy competitivos entre ellos, generando mucha tensión entre ellos.
Host/hostess are payed by comission on the drinks they sell, so they are so much competitive, making work to be stressfull for them.
En Tokio el área mas popular para encontrar estos lugares es Kabukicho.
The most popular area in Tokyo to find this kind of places is Kabukicho.

Snack bar o "snack": Es atendido por chicas las cuales  te atienden y coquetean, en estos no hay una tarifa
                                de cover, y tampoco sabrás lo que cuesta la comida que ingieres, por lo general llegara                                 tu cuenta con un monto muy muy alto, incluyéndote una botella, la cual sera guardada
                                para tus visitas futuras.
                               This is served by girls, that flirt, there isn´t an entrance fee but you will never know how 
                               much you have eaten till you get the bill, usually a really expensive one, including a wine 
                                bottle, they´ll keep it for your future visit.

y entonces... Cuanto cuesta? / then... what´s its cost?

los precios varían dependiendo de cada club, y la cantidad de veces que has entrado a el.
La primera vez te sale en 1000Y ($10 usd) la hora, y las siguientes veces te puede salir hasta en $500 usd.
Por lo general el Host entre platicas y risas y coqueteo te hará comprar una botella de champagne la cual deberás de pagar tu, obviamente, y ademas de eso compartir con todos los hosts, por lo que posiblemente solo te toque una copa.
Prices are different from club to club, and the times you have been in it.

Generally a host, between chatter and laughter will make you buy  a champagne bottle, which you´ll have to pay, and share with all other hosts, leaving you with only a cup for your delight.

Debido a diversos accidentes los clubs deben de cerrar a mas tardar a las 2:00 am, esto a llevado a los dueños a su nueva técnica de negocio, la atención después de las horas de trabajo, duplicando los precios.
Due to some accidents, clubs must close at 2:00 am, this has encounter a new bussiness technique, attendance after work hours, rising all prices. 

Que esperar.. / what to expect...

En tu primer visita, como cliente se te ofrece el menú de hosts, del cual elegirás el primer host que quieres conocer, pero es muy posible que durante tu estancia conozcas a todos los hosts, ahí es cuando decides elegir a uno, esto solo lo puedes hacer comprando una botella para tu próxima visita, en muchos lugares una vez que elegiste un host no lo puedes cambiar.
Después de las horas de trabajo es posible ir con tu host a otro lugar, pero esto es catalogado como "malos modales", sin embargo durante el día es posible salir con el host, lo que se consuma sera cobrado al cliente posterior mente, si este no lo paga se le cobrara al host.
si eres de esos clientes que irritan a todo mundo, puedes ser expulsado del club.
On your first visit, you´ll be offered the host menu, you have to chose which host you want to meet first, but you´ll possibly met most of them. That´s when you decide to name one for you, yo can only do this by buying a bottle, that will stay in the club till your next visit. Once you chose one you can´t change it.
After work hours a host can accompany you to another place such a karaoke, but this is looked as "bad manners", but you can still go out with him  during daytime, anything that you eat or drink, will be sent  to the club and you´ll have to pay for it later, if not, the host must.
If your one of those annoying, no one likes clients, you can be expelled of the club.

Su estrategia de mercado es muy simple, hacer sentir amado al cliente sin tener sexo, aunque en diversos lugares esto si es permitido siempre y cuando el cliente pague la excesiva cantidad que se le pide. Para subir las posibilidades de que el cliente regrese el host mantiene contacto con este con llamadas y correos.
The club´s business strategy is really simple; make you feel loved, without having sex, tho some places hosts are allowed to have sex with the client, only if she/he pay the excesive amount. 
Hosts can send you mail, or give you a phone call to keep in touch, that rises the % for you to return to the club.

 

Estos clubs han sido usados para diversos mangas, animes, dramas, videojuegos etc.. como: Ourant high school host club, Club 9 y Bloodhound, los cuales están enfocados a audiencia general.
This clubs have been used as theme of mangas, animes, dramas, videogames etc... such as: Ouran hich shcool host club, club 9 and Bloodhound, wich are light and focus on a general audience.

En la vida real así como hay clubs para heterosexuales, como para homosexuales y transexuales.

Si aun no tienes tu disfraz para tu fiesta de halloween, aun tienes algunos días para hacerlo o buscarlo,  aquí te dejo algunas opciones:

If you´re still wondering what will you wear on your halloween party, don´t worry you still got time, here are some options: 

1.-   Zombificar cualquier personaje del que ya tengas un cosplay, asi solo gastaras lo mínimo en comprar algunos materiales como pinturas y látex.

      Zombifie any cosplay you allready have, that way you´ll only have to buy some materials such as  latex and paints.

2.-  Un shinigami, siempre da miedo!.. bueno no siempre :p

      A shinigami, it is always scary!.... well not always :p

3.- Pyramid head, la cabeza la puedes hacer de carton y pinturas. A este si tooodos le tenemos miedo.

      Pyramid head, you can make its head with cardboard and paints. Everyone is afraid of this one.

4.- Enfermera  de Silent hill, posiblemente te sea muy fácil conseguir un traje de enfermera en cualquier lugar donde renten, si no cuentas con mascara puedes pintarla  y conseguir muy buenos efectos, también puedes ayudarte de vendas.

       Silent Hill nurse, this one is pretty easy, you just need a nurse outfit, that you can easily find to rent, and if you don´t find the mask, you can paint your own face and end up with pretty good effects, you can help yourself with some bandages.

5.- Venom, realmente solo ocupas un body negro ó pantalones negros y pintur.

      Venom, you only need a black bodysuit, or black pants and paint.

6.- Alice McGee, su vestuario es bastante fácil de encontrar, y lo puedes arreglar con algo de pintura.

      Alice McGee, her outfit is really easy to find, and you can fix it with some paint. 

7.-  Chucky, ya sea en versión masculina o femenina, solo necesitas un overall, y hay muchos titnes temporales para el cabello en spray que se quita facilmente con una lavada, si es que no cuentas con peluca.

     Chucky, female or male version, you´ll only need an overall, and there ara a lot of fantasy hair spray with color that you can just whash off, if you don´t have a wig.

8.- Jigsaw, seguramente podras encontrar la mascara en cualquier lugar donde renten disfraces, y solo necesitas un traje negro.

     Jigsaw, nowdays it´s really easy to find a mask, then "suit up"..(ok enough with my Barney Stinson mode).

9.- Carrie,  con un camisón blanco y un poco de pintura roja, lograras un buen disfraz.

     Carrie, just with a white night gown and a bit of red paint, you´ll manage the look!

10.- Infectado de Last of us, si eres bueno con las manualidades peudes hacer facilmente el hongo con materials como papel, carton, pegamento y pinturas.

       Last of us infected, if you´re handy, you can easily make the fungus with materiasl such as paper, cardboard, glue and paints.

11.- Alucard de Helsing, una muy buena opción, aunque si ocupas mas vestuario, si ya lo tienes porqueno usaro!

       Hellsing´s Alucard, this a really cool option, but you´ll need more of a full cosplay here, if you allready have it why no use it!

12. Samara, si ya tienes el cabello largo solo lo necesitas despeinar, echarlo al frente y pintar tu cara de blanco.

      Samara, if you´re hair is long, you´ll just need to waive it with you hands, bring it front, and lightly whiten your face with paints.

13.- Dhalsim, realmente no ocupas ropa jaja, y con toda la vendimia de halloween podras encontrar muchas calaveritas para colgarte.

     Dhalsim, you really don´t need much clothes, and with all this halloween sales you could find some skulls for your neck.

14. Wesker, quien no lo odia? 

       Wesker, whoe doesn´t hate him?..

15.- Creeper, jajajaja todo minecraft lover debe de temerle ;).

       Creeper, lol, any minecraft lover should fear him ;).

16.- Sae de fatal frame crimson butterfly, puedes buscar una bata blanca parecida a un kimono, mancharla de rojo, y un pedazo de tela rojo. Si son 2 la otra puede ir de Yae ;).

       Fatal frame´s Sae, you can find a white gown that might look a like a kimono, stained it red, and buy some red cloth. if you are 2 girls one can be Yae ;)

17.-  Eren versión titan, solo no te vayas como dios te trajo al mundo ;) con un poco de pintura, papel y pegamento puedes crear el efecto en su rostro.

      Titan version Eren,  just don´t go as you where born ;), with a bit of paint, paper and glue you can creat that teeth effect of his face.

18.- Dante, jajaja no da miedo pero es bien cool .

        Dante, lol he´s not scary but so cool :p.

19.-  Maid maniaca, si ya tienes un gothic lolita puedes aprovecharlo y utilizarlo, no olvides maquillarte de acuerdo al look que quieres dar.

       Maniatic maid, if you allready have a gothic lolita, you can use it, don´t forget to paint your face the way you want to look.

20.- Y por ultimo una página de la Death note con los nombres de los invitados a la fiesta escritos en ella :p

Crema BB / BB Cream

El día de hoy, les hablare sobre las BB cream, ya famosamente conocidas, tanto que incluso marcas occidentales las han empezado a hacer.

Primero, que es una BB cream?..

Para empezar debemos de primero conocer  que significa la BB de su nombre, que es " Blemish Balm" lo cual traducido al español, literalmente significa "balsamo para manchas".
Su origen esta en Alemania, creada por dermatologos para el cuidado de la piel después de una cirugia laser (que puede lastimar la piel debido a que quema), esta contiene propiedades anti inflamatorias, las cuales la hacen apta para utilizarla como protector en la piel.
Debido a sus caracteristicas de emparejar los tonos de la piel y sus propiedades causo gran revuelto en todo Asia, haciendo que sus actrices tanto Coreanas como Japonesas la  utilizaran como parte de su maquillaje.
Existen muchas marcas que cuentan con su propia BB Cream, en lo particular me gustan las Coreanas, ya que hay una gran diferencia contra las occidentales, las occidentales son mas para un acabado momentáneo y son mas maquillaje, mientras que las coreanas son mas cremas de tratamiento. Por lo que de aqui en adelante hablare exclusivamente de las coreanas.

Como usar una BB cream..

Primero siempre hay que tener en cuenta que una bb cream es como su nombre lo dice una crema, por lo general todas las bb cream cuentan con pigmentación, lamentablemente para las latinas, quienes solemos ser un poco mas morenitas, sus tonos son bastante claros, pero no te preocupes ya que NO es maquillaje como dije, te pones la cantidad suficiente para que su tonalidad empareje tu tono de piel, si eres de piel clara y no quieres verte aun mas sin vida, cúbrela con tu polvo de tu tono y listo !, lo que hará es que te emparejara la piel pero el polvo ayudara a matar el brillo que deja la crema así como agregarte color. Si eres de piel mas obscura, sobre la bb cream aplica tu maquillaje de tu tono, la bb cream ayudara a emparejar, y tu maquillaje a dara el tono deseado

Es muy recomendable usarla seguido ya que entre sus características esta el de proteger la piel, disminuir manchas y combatir las arrugas ;).

Cuales te recomiendo?

La priemra que te voy a recomendar es la Petit BB Cream de Holika Holika, tiene 6 diferentes para cada tipo de piel, huele super rico, su textura es muy suave y no te deja grasosa, y su cobertura es de media a alta.
La segunda seria la Perfect Cover de Missha, con una cobertura menor a la anterior, tiene una textura muy suave, y a diferencia de otras marcas Missha cuenta con diferentes tonalidades.
La tercera es la triple the solution de Lioele, esta tiene una gran cobertura por lo que si eres de piel clara no necesitaras mas que la crema para cubrir y emparejar, su lado contra es que deja mucho brillo por lo que forsozamente necesitaras polvo para ese acabado mate.
y por ultimo la Hot Pink de skin79, es la que menos cobertura tiene, tiene una consitencia mas liquida, por lo que si es necesario utilizar maquillaje en cima, mi mamá provo esta y se le quitaron las manchas de la cara que salen por la edad (aunque al final prefirio una de holika holika), que mami no quiere eso?.
Existen muchas otras marcas pero hasta el momento estas son las que hemos probado. Todas las podras encontrar en nuestra tienda y te ayudaremos a elegir la mejor para ti.

Today, we are gonna talk about the so famously known BB creams, so famous thant occidental brands started to produce them.

First, What´s a BB cream?..

We should know what´s the meaning of “BB” in the name, it stands for “Blemish Balm”.
Its origins are in Germany, created for skin care after laser surgery (that can burn and damage skin) by dermatologist. This cream contains anti inflammatory properties, that makes them suitable as a skin protector and regenerator.
Due to its matching skin tones features and its properties it became so famous in all Asia, making their actresses, Japanese and Coreans mostly, use it as part of their daily makeup.
There are a whole bunch of brands with their own BB cream, I particularly like corean better, there is a wide difference in between Asian and occidental. The Occidental ones, are for a momentary look, and are a bit more of a makeup, the corean ones are more like a skin treatment cream. So now on, I´ll be only talking about the coreans.

How to use a BB cream…..

First of all, you should now that a bb cream is a cream, as it name says, generally all bb creams come with pigmentation to help matching skin tone, unfortunately for us the latin girls, most bb creams come in a single light tone, but don´t worry, because its not makeup you can still use it, and this is how.
If your skin tone is light, use just the exact amount of product in your clean face, so its color blends all the face imperfections, cover it up with your skin tone compact and done ! this way the comact will give you the color you need.
If your skin is darker, use the same technique, just after the bb cream, use your tone makeup in cream or in compact, that way the bb cream will only blend imperfections, and your makeup will give you the desire tone.
Its features are protect skin from sunlight, whitening age marks, and combat wrinkles so I recommend using it daily.

My recommendations?...

First, Holika Holika´s petit BB Cream, it has 6 different so you can choose the perfect one for your skin, it smels awesome, its really smooth, it´s not greasy and its coverage is to medium – high.
Second, Missha´s Perfect cover, its coverage is lower than the last one, but it has a really smooth texture, and a difference between some other brands Missha has a variety of tones.
Third. Lioele´s Triple the Solution, this one has the best coverage, so if your skin tone is light, you´ll only need this to cover and blend, its bad thing it leaves a greasy finish so you´ll definitely need a compact to get that mate finish
And Last, Skin79´s Hot Pink, it is the one with the least coverage, its consistency is more of a liquid than a cream, so you´ll need make up, my mom used it for a while and most of her age spots disappeared (tho at the end she chose Holika Holika better), who´s mom wouldn´t want that?

Que es el Ulzaang ??

Bueno, primero es un termino coreano que literalmente significa "mejor cara" o " bien parecido" que poco a poco ha llegado a definir a un estilo de moda tanto para hombres como para mujeres.Utilizando este estilo se han creado diversos concursos en Internet, donde se suben fotos y se califica a la persona.

Entre los elementos que se pueden usar para este estilo están, los pupilentes de diametros mayores al normal, pelucas, así es ya que no solo existen pelucas para cosplays sino también están las de tonalidades naturales, e incluso copetes o tupes, así como gran variedad de maquillajes que ayudan a este look, los dejo con algunas fotos, y esperen mas adelante reviews de dichos productos!!


What is Ulzaang??

Well, first is a Korean term that literally means "best face" or "good looking" that it became to define a fashion style used by women and men. Using this style has created several contests on the internet, where pictures are post to be voted.
